Eko Nomos provides a range of research and policy development services to government and non-profit organizations.

Centre for Democratic Studies, Queen’s University, 2008

Eko Nomos conducted primary research to assess how considerations for vulnerable populations are built into emergency response planning protocols.

Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), 2007

Eko Nomos researched practices for evaluation of policy development and worked with the  Department of Public Policy at CAMH to develop an approach for building its internal evaluation capacity. Link to Paper

City of Toronto and United Way of Greater Toronto; Harm Reduction Research Project, 2004

This two-year harm reduction collaborative research was conducted with six Toronto agencies providing harm reduction services. Eko Nomos worked with agencies, assessing the effectiveness of their harm reduction strategies, identifying elements of effective practice and evaluating participant outcomes. We facilitated a series of workshops designed to involve the agencies in developing planning frameworks, projecting participant outcomes, devising indicators of success and planning the implementation of the learning strategy. Additionally, we provided on-site consultation and support to assist agencies in implementing the research strategy. Link to paper 

Social and Enterprise Development Innovations (SEDI); Individual Development Accounts (IDA) Programs, 2000-2001

IDAs assist low income individuals in saving for education, training or housing. Canada sponsored the world's largest a national demonstration project of IDAs for training and education. Eko Nomos worked on three projects related to the research, design and implementation of that demonstration project.

Ontario Women's Directorate - Career Resources Project, 2000
For this research project, exploring the best approaches for the Ontario government to promote women's and girls' access to career development resources in Ontario, we prepared a paper that provided the government with options for effectively providing career planning resources.  

National Women's Reference Group to the Canadian Labour Force Development Board, 1998-2000

Eko Nomos acted as the principal investigator for a research project assessing the impact of changes in legislation on: women's participation in training programs:  women's organizations and their clients, and; funding allocation to training programs.
